Worship

September 24th, 2009

Worship at Our Saviour Lutheran Church is meant to be an uplifting experience for all who participate.

Our Lord speaks and we listen. His Word bestows what it says. Faith that is born from what is heard acknowledges the gifts received with eager thankfulness and praise. Music is drawn into this thankfulness and praise, enlarging and elevating the adoration of our gracious giver God.

The rhythm of our worship is from God to us, and them from us back to him. He gives his gifts, and together we receive and extol them. We build one another up as we speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Our Lord gives us His body to eat and his blood to drink. Finally His blessing moves us out into our daily calling, where his gifts have their fruition.

Our Saviour offers a variety in the worship services offered.

Thursday at 12:15pm, OSLC offers a “Brown Bag” worship.  It is designed to be finished by 12:45 so people can return to work after their lunch break.

Thursday evenings at 7:00pm, Sundays at 7:45am and 10:45am, offer a traditional worship service using our hymnal, Lutheran Service Book.

Sundays at 9:15am, OSLC hosts a praise service that includes a praise band.

The Lord’s Supper is offered the second and fourth Sundays of the month (and Thursdays leading to that Sunday).
